Rhode Island gets $130 million in health care funding | WJAR

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The federal government is awarding Rhode Island about $130 million over the next five years to bolster the state’s health care services and improve the way Medicaid care is delivered.Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo on Monday announced the funding agreement with the U.S. Centers on Medicare and Medicaid Services.She says it builds on the state’s Medicaid reforms that saved the state $70 million this year.
